Question

Which days are Erika and Pablo in Hungary?

Answer

Our plan is to arrive on the 14th of June to Hungary and stay until the 30th. We would love to spend some extra days with you in Budapest and/or exploring the country!

Question

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

Szekszard is an easy, one and a half hours drive from Budapest. If you won't have a car, please let us know and we match you up with some local friends who can give you a ride.

Question

How long should I stay in Hungary for?

Answer

Budapest itself is worth at least three days, even five if you want to fit some partying with us in there. :) Budapest is the capital of parties, bars and restaurants, so definitely good to leave some "chill" time. In general, Hungary is famous for its spa hotels - it's the country with most hot springs in the world -, lake Balaton - the biggest natural lake in Central Europe - and of course its many wine regions out of which one you will get to know on our wedding. For more information on the highlights, please visit our "Things to do" page.

Question

What's the weather like in June?

Answer

Summer in Hungary can get pretty hot, with temperature occasionally climbing up to 35C. However weather in June can change pretty quickly, from hot and sunny to cool and rainy, so you need to be prepared for any possibility. We recommend you bring a light dinner jacket or sweater for the evenings. Don't forget that the wedding will take place in an underground wine cellar with a constant temperature of 15-20C.

Question

I have a food allergy and/or I'm a vegetarian, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course! In case you have any special requests for the food, please let us know as soon as you can. The menu will include modern international dishes with some hints of traditional Hungarian cuisine. We have included vegetarian options in the menu, however it would be important to know how many people will take this option so the kitchen can prepare adequately.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are planning a small, cozy, family-style wedding and we are inviting about 50 people in total. (Yes, you are among those 50 very important people!) In order to keep the intimate spirit of the wedding, all invitations are exclusive for you and your direct family (there are no plus ones). If you would like to bring someone else along, please consult with us.

Question

Should I bring my kids?

Answer

In order to be able to enjoy some adult time, we recommend you leave the kids at home. However, we understand that some of you do not have this option, so don't worry! We will have a professional baby-sitter on site who will look after the little ones while you party.
