In May of 2017, call it chance or fate, two people met on a dating site called plenty of fish. The two were living 45 miles apart at that time so without that, they may have never met. It took a few weeks for them to finally meet and on the day of their first date, Erika nearly bailed. Thankfully her friend Sarah convinced her to go. A little less than a year later and Erika decided to move to Germany for a year. As hard as it was for him, Lloyd supported her and told her mom “she’ll come back to me”. Throughout her year in Germany, they saw each other a few times and it didn’t take long for Erika to realize the great thing she had. She couldn’t believe this man would wait for her like he did and knew that he was one of the good ones. It When she returned in July of 2019, the two became inseparable and moved in together in 2020. After 4 and a half years together through distance, deployments, and all the ups and downs of a relationship, on December 24,2021, Erika’s favorite day of the year, Lloyd asked Erika to marry him. One year later, they are saying ‘I do’.
