We met through Facebook, Jerome would always message me on OUR birthday and ask to take me out and I would never respond., that went on for years.. UNTIL he posted a status that caught my eye. He posted a status that basically said " Next Female I talk to, ain't no movies or dinner first dates, we going to church!, if you cant go to church with me, then we don't have anything to talk about". So I jumped in his messages and told him he could take me to church , and from there it started a love that I never knew could exist. From that point we went on dates, and by the end of our first year he moved to Charlotte, NC to be with me. We would spend birthdays together, we traveled together, sang together, WORSHIPPED together, everything you could ever imagine. One thing that brought me closer to him was the fact that he used to pray with me and FOR me. We were intrigued at the fact we found love so young and we knew it was something we wanted to hold onto, we were both god-fearing, family oriented and loved some of the same things, shoes being one of them. (lol) On October 6th 2017 we found out we were expecting, it wasn't planned, but life never really is. Now we had to get our mind right and prepare for baby. We moved into our first home and begin to prepare. It was so refreshing knowing you are doing "life" with your best friend.

On December 30th 2017, my best friend planned a gender reveal, and all of our family and close friends came out to see what we were going to be having. The original plan was for Jerome and I to hold hands and open our eyes when the color was lit and in the air, Well.... It didn't go like that, We were back to back and he escaped into his own little position, I still had my eyes closed after moving my hands all crazy because he wasn't sticking with the plan (lol). Our dads lit the color bombs and everyone started screaming.. I turned around and burst into tears first because I seen the color "PINK" then I seen him on one knee, and my crying turned into the UGLY cry (lol). After he said his speech, he asked me to take THEIR last name and of course I SAID YESSSSSSSS!
