It’s camp time!!! We are encouraging everyone to stay at camp with us!!!! Come experience the beauty that Independent Lake Camp has to offer. If you choose to stay at camp it’s free accommodation’s!! If this is not an option for you we have included some hotel options on the website.
If you are staying in the bunks you will need to bring your own sheets, blankets, pillows, and towels! It does get cool up in the mountains so be prepared. Each bunk has electricity and bathrooms with showers!
We understand camp is not for everyone so there are hotels listed that are available for those that can’t stay on site. They are limited so please book early!!!
Please plan to arrive around 5pm. This will give you time to get settled in. We will be providing a BBQ dinner at 7 down by the dining hall!
Yes!! We will be having a bar for the wedding itself and some refreshments for Friday night as well!!
We will be having some camp activities! The lake will be open for a swim. There’s a gym..basketball courts..pickleball, tennis, and much much more.
This is going to be a very intimate and personal affair and we are trying to really know everyone who will be there so please be respectful of our wishes. Please reach out to us if you have questions about a plus one and I’m sure we can make it work!
There won’t be a specific option but if there are individual needs please reach out and we will make it work. We don’t want anyone not eating!!!
For people driving in from out of town the best option is staying at the camp. If that is not desirable we have listed some hotel options. The closest airports are Scranton, Philadelphia, Newark, JFK, and LaGuardia. If you need help in any planning please let us know and we are more than happy to help!

It’s September in the mountains so it will likely be warm during the day and chilly at night so bring layers. Wear whatever you are comfortable in. Dinner will be formal on Saturday but the overall atmosphere is very casual. Also note that it’s camp…there is grass and sand and uneven pavement including the dance floor so please be mindful and wear shoes that you are comfortable in.
Absolutely! Would love to have everyone for the weekend but understand people have busy lives. If you can just make it for the ceremony we would love to have you. What we part of the weekend you can make it to we will be happy to have you there!
