January 2010 on an American Airlines airplane in Miami, Florida bound for Costa Rica. We sat in the same row and after a friendly chat discovered we shared interests in the entertainment industry. We exchanged Facebooks and that was that. Due to being in different relationships and places in our lives at the time, we never kept in touch after that initial interaction. Social media and almost 4 years later we reconnected again. Ember was living in Seattle and Erika in Fort Lauderdale - moving to Los Angeles. Ember messaged Erika and caught up on life. He mentioned his upcoming work trip to Florida and suggested it would be nice to meet again. Erika was unsure she'd be in town because she was moving to Los Angeles. But life had other plans for us. With long distance between, we got to know each other in the meantime. When February 2014 came around, we got a second chance at Love. Butterflies were present. and our journey began. Fast forward 7 years - now we are Getting MARRIED!!! So thank you American Airlines, thank you Fanny Lu for your show in Costa Rica, thank you social media and more importantly, Thank you UNIVERSE for your timing and persistence.

After a long day of driving from a trip with close friends to Florida's panhandle, Ember proposed outside his car on our driveway. As we were unpacking the car, Ember asked Erika to get him something he had left behind inside the car. When she opened her door, she saw an opened ring box on the dashboard. She didn't expect it at all. When she turned to Ember he was smiling and Erika started crying happy tears. He asked "Do you still want to do this?" and she said YES! She handed him the box and as he was putting it on her finger he asked if she wanted to marry him. From meeting on an airplane, getting engaged outside the car, and much travel in between - What a beautiful love story we have shared! And we are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with you! See you in Fort Lauderdale!

We bought our first home together in the city of Fort Worth, Texas. We are happy and proud of our new home. Even though we are away from family, we are lucky and blessed to have great close friends living nearby. A home project we are creating is making the landscape/backyard of our dreams. Can't wait for friends and family to visit us!
