Our Story / Nuestra Historia

Where Our Story Began:
Our paths first crossed at Illinois State University when we both decided to join our co-ed fraternity, Alpha Psi Lambda. As we spent more time together at meetings and events, Edgar started developing feelings for Erika. One night—thanks to a little liquid courage—he finally decided to make the first move and tell her how he felt. Let’s just say… the outcome wasn’t exactly ideal. But that didn’t stop his pursuit.
With time, as we got to know each other better, Erika began to realize how comfortable and at ease she felt around Edgar, and something special started to grow. Edgar officially asked Erika to be his girlfriend on March 17th, 2017, and our adventure truly began.
Since then, we’ve navigated life’s many ups and downs together and even welcomed our fur baby, Canela, into our little family. And now, here we are—ready for forever.
