Question

Where will the wedding be held?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Aashirwad Palace. Address: 169 S Salem St, Randolph, NJ 07869

Question

Is the wedding happening during COVID?

Answer

Yes, the wedding is still happening and we are following state guidelines to make sure everyone is safe. At any point if we find out the wedding needs to be postponed due to COVID regulations we will reach out to all of our guests and post it on this website.

Question

What are we doing to minimize the risk of COVID?

Answer

Fortunately, there is a vaccine and many of the guests will have hopefully taken it before the wedding date. Everyone can do their part and help us reduce the spread by following state guidelines. If you think you may have COVID nearing the wedding date, please do not attend, there will be children and elderly guests.

Question

What are we supposed to do during the break between lunch and cocktails?

Answer

Because this is an all-day event there will be an intermission of 3 hours after lunch to cocktails, this is standard practice. We recommend exploring the area, going back to your hotel to freshen up or even take a nap. We know we'll be needing one!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We will be having an Indian ceremony and an American reception. The bride and groom will be wearing traditional Indian wedding clothing for the ceremony and change into a wedding dress and suit for the reception. The overall dress code would fall in the semi-formal category. There will be guests on both sides wearing either Indian or American attire. It is ultimately up to each individual what they feel comfortable wearing during both events.

Question

What should we do about transportation?

Answer

For those who are thinking of renting a car you can get up to 25% off from the car rental service Budget, the link is at the bottom of the hotels section.

Question

Which hotels do you recommend in the area?

Answer

We have reserved 3 hotel blocks, which can be found under the hotels tab on this site. Simply decide which one you would like to stay at and click on the Klawitter-Patel Wedding link, it will direct you to their custom hotel booking link. These hotels have a discount already applied!

Question

What kind of food is being served?

Answer

The venue will be providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all of our guests so wear your stretchy pants! With that in mind, we will be serving both Indian and American cuisine, buffet style, simply pick and choose whatever you like.
