Eureka's Old Town is a historic district full of Victorian era buildings, art venues, coffee shops, antique stores and shops, restaurants, museums and galleries, and public areas including the Eureka Boardwalk.
Great for those with kids. The hands-on Barnyard has donkeys, alpacas, rabbits and fowl. Kids can brush goats and sheep in the Contact Corral and explore a one-of-a-kind barn. Sequoia Park is next to the zoo and has playgrounds, trails through the redwood forest, meadows, and a duck pond. Just outside the zoo’s northern perimeter is the Sequoia Park Garden.

The Samoa Cookhouse is the last surviving cookhouse in the West and serves lots of good food - lumber camp style. Go for the french toast breakfast!
