Like any great modern love story… it all started with a DM on Facebook. 😅 Neither of us realized we were actually going to the same school turns out, not only were we both there, but we even ended up with a class together and the same lunch. Talk about meant to be. What started as a random message quickly turned into inside jokes, long talks, and a friendship that kept getting stronger. Over time, that friendship grew into something so much more. We didn’t just find our best friend in each other… we found the love of our lives.

We first met in the most random way at the mall while shopping for school clothes. Erika was there with her parents and somehow that normal day turned into something special. One of the first things said was, “She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s mine.” Looking back, it’s crazy to think that a simple moment like that started everything. What felt like pure coincidence ended up being fate the beginning of our whole story.

Our first date was the first time we really went out on our own, and we felt so grown up. We picked this cozy little pizza spot, Zammitti’s, and it ended up being perfect. To this day, it’s still one of our favorite places nothing beats their bread knots and our classic pepperoni pizza. What started as a simple dinner turned into one of our favorite traditions.

After twelve years of growing together, laughing together and building a life we love, he planned a proposal straight out of a dream. The candles, the flowers, the energy it all felt surreal. When he dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him, time stopped for a moment. And then I said yes without a doubt in my heart.
