Things To Do

Portland has so much to offer. If you have time to explore, we have some great options below!
Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area

Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area

OR

There are some amazing hikes and scenic spots throughout this whole area. Known as "The Gorge", it's famous for the beautiful waterfalls. This is a large area, but you can get to popular hikes within 30 minutes of Portland. If you'd like specific hiking recommendations, text either of the brides.

Forest Park

Portland, OR

Forest Park is a great way to go for a hike without leaving Portland. It's a very large park with many trails to explore. Many trailheads start within Portland so you could easily park, hike, and then grab brunch after!

Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI)

Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI)

1945 Southeast Water Avenue, Portland, OR 97214

This is an awesome place to visit with kids. There's plenty of hands-on experiences and puzzles as well as fascinating featured exhibits. It's also right on the river with great walking paths around.

Portland Japanese Garden

611 Southwest Kingston Avenue, Portland, OR 97205

The Japanese Gardens offer a very serene experience wandering these beautiful grounds. There's also a tea house and shop inside.

Prost!

Prost!

4237 North Mississippi Avenue, Portland, OR 97217

This is a great spot to feel the vibe of Portland. The spot itself has many food cart options and plenty of picnic tables to sit at. Food pods are a staple of Portland culture, and some of the best are located here. There's also some great beer options if you want to try local breweries. It's on a very popular street with multiple bars, restaurants, and boutiques.

Salt & Straw

Salt & Straw

2035 Northeast Alberta Street, Portland, OR 97211

Portland's most famous ice cream shop is a must try. Although the original and most popular spot is in NW Portland, we would recommend coming to this location in NE Portland, and then exploring Alberta Arts District (this shop is right in the middle of it!) and getting other food and drink along the way. There are great boutiques and local shops in the area to find the perfect souvenir.

For all the days along the way
