Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please dress in a way that makes you feel fabulous! If you are attending our city hall ceremony, please consult the weather forecast ahead of time. You can find additional information about what to expect for our civil ceremony via the invitation.

Question

What to expect during the City Clerk's Civil Ceremony

Answer

We are so excited to be married at Brooklyn City Clerk's Office at 210 Joralemon Street on May 22, 2026 at 11:15am. Because this is a civil ceremony, the City Clerk's Office has strict guest policies. Only our two designated witnesses and our photographer will be permitted inside. No additional guests will be allowed entry under any circumstances, and security enforces this policy regardless of weather or personal considerations. We ask everyone to plan accordingly. There are several public benches for those who wish to rest prior to our exit, but those are first come first serve. The magic truly happens outside. City Hall exits are iconic — couples stepping out the doors, cheers from the crowd, flowers in the air. We can’t wait to walk out and see you there. Guests are invited to gather outside before our scheduled ceremony time to celebrate our exit as newlyweds. It will be joyful, celebratory, very New York, very Brooklyn — and so us.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our civil ceremony will be taking place on May 22nd, 2026 at 11:15am at Brooklyn's City Clerk's Office located at 210 Joralemon Street. For public transit please take a Brooklyn-bound 4 train to Borough Hall.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please refer to our travel page. While we are not providing hotel blocks, we have included a selection of hotels in a range of prices and various locations across the city.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

On May 22nd, 2026, we will be celebrating our civil ceremony at Brooklyn's City Clerk's Office. May 23rd, 2026 from 4pm onward, we will be having an open-house style party at our home in Park Slope Brooklyn where we invite friends and family to join us for drinks, small bites, and merriment. Feel free to come and go as you please as this will be a casual party. (As a note, we will be providing beverages, small bites, and cake and bubbles, but there will be no sit down formal dinner).

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

While the best gift we could ask for is your presence, we are registered via Zola for multiple cash-funds (honeymoon, newly wed, college football tickets) and a few small items.
