Our wedding story began high above Sonoma Valley, California on Friday March 8th, a few weeks shy of one year after our first date. After spending a great (but rainy) few days wine tasting in Napa and Sonoma, we lucked out with a gorgeous sunny morning for our hot air balloon ride! Erick surprised Rachel with a beautiful proposal during the ride and we were on cloud nine the rest of the day. We took the coastal highway down to San Francisco and enjoyed the fantastic scenery along the coast - could have sworn we were in Ireland! On our way into San Francisco we stopped at the Marin Headlands for amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge - and great photos thanks to friendly strangers! We spent the rest of the weekend exploring and celebrating in San Francisco before heading back home to Milwaukee and reality - but we had fun jumping right into wedding planning. Our goal is to throw a great party to celebrate the start of our married life together, so expect a relaxed reception with great food, libations and dancing (we are excited about our live band)! We are looking forward to celebrating with everyone in Milwaukee on October 5th, 2019!
