We're getting married!

Lizelle and Erick met online in 2021. She was the new girl in town after moving to Kansas from New Jersey and he moved back to his hometown, De Soto, after teaching in Junction City for 2 years. With both of them recently moving, they decided to give online dating a shot. Erick was the first to 'swipe right'. He opened with a question about Avatar the Last Airbender, which she just so happened to be rewatching at the time. They decided to meet in person and go on a first date to Q39, which has now become one of their favorite BBQ spots! Since then, Erick and Lizelle have traveled to over 10 states, attended college football games together (K-State & Rutgers ofc), visited over 35 breweries, and even adopted a dog together now named Rosco! Erick popped the question over Labor Day weekend in 2023 at Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory in Duluth, MN where the view overlooks Lake Superior and the blue skies and the lake blend together. Lizelle said yes and the rest is yet to come ❤️
