We met each other in our freshmen year at Washington State University. Our first date was meant to be a cute picnic in the Palouse. A stroll around the natural beauty of Eastern Washington. Unfortunately, for the first and certainly not the last time, Erick had forgotten to check the weather. He didn't have a smartphone or google home back then, so we can only blame him so much. By the time I was done packing lunch, it was raining cats and dogs. We went up to the top floor of our dorm building and ate our lunch, refusing to let the day (and sandwiches) go to waste. As the rain let up and the sun peaked over the golden hills of Pullman, WA, we enjoyed the beautiful watercolor sky and one of our fondest afternoons together. Our relationship has and continues to be effortless. When Erick told me that he really liked me on the way to Math 107, neither of us thought it would be the start of a 12-year relationship - the beginnings of a new life. But the excitement of being around each other every day simply wouldn't let up, leading us to where we are today. We are starting our lifelong adventure with each other. Our wedding will be an intimate garden party, where we will share our relationship with the people we care about dearly. We hope you will attend and witness our promise to each other and become big cheerleaders for our past, present, and future lives. Pom poms recommended.
