We're doing the thing!

We met at work. He said I wouldn't last. Little did we know...

It was my birthday morning and he was getting ready for work as I tried to stay asleep. He seemed to be making more noise than usual. Then it occurred to me that it may have been intentional so I opened one eye. He presented me with a couple of gifts as I laid in bed half-awake. They were cute little pieces of jewelry but he seemed nervous. Then he said there was something else as he fumbled around and comes back with what looked like a ring box. He had already given me a ring but this box looked more substantial than Etsy. I heard him say something like "You can have this if you have me too." Wait... O_o... My sleepy brain scrambled to figure out what was going on. wHAt iS HapPenNinG?!?! WaiT!! Is tHiS IT?!?! I sat straight up and started rubbing my eyes as he opened the box. "Oh yeaaaaaaah... it's happening," but he didn't ask. He just stood there looking kinda awkward. "Do you want to ask me something?" He shrugged, "Come on man." I wouldn't respond until he asked. Then I said yes. He was cute.
