Time to celebrate!

We met on the first night of our junior year of college! Although we had a lot of mutual friends in the couple years leading up to that night, we had never met. Earlier that night, prior to meeting Dalton, Ericka had just been talking about how great it was being single.. that clearly didn't last long as our friends had other plans in mind of setting us up. Thank goodness for those friends, because here we are 5 years later planning our wedding!

Although everyone had been bugging Dalton for awhile about when a ring would be coming, Ericka was definitely surprised when the big moment happened. She had been planning a weekend for her parents to come visit. Dalton didn't ask many questions or act different leading up to it, so Ericka wasn't expecting him to pop the question any time that weekend. Turns out he had asked her dad for permission a couple weekends before though, and he had a plan the whole time. He proposed in front of both our families on the back patio of our home. The most common response from our family and friends was: "FINALLY!"
