Things To Do

We are so excited for you all to get to know the city where we met! We've included some of our favorite places to hang, eat, and drink. We hope you love Atlanta as much as we do! If you need any additional recommendations, please reach out! Our favorite neighborhoods are Inman Park, Virginia Highlands, and Midtown! You really can't go wrong anywhere along the Beltline.

Breakfast - Bread & Butterfly

290 Elizabeth Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30307

Our go-to breakfast spot in our neighborhood, Inman Park. A table pancake is strongly recommended.

Breakfast - The Flying Biscuit Cafe

1001 Piedmont Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30309

Atlanta staple, walking distance from Midtown hotel and Piedmont Park!

Breakfast - Folk Art

465 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30307

Classic breakfast spot right near Inman Park!

Breakfast - Bomb Biscuit Atlanta

668 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30312

Popular breakfast spot, known for their large biscuit sandwiches (really good after a long night out)

Coffee - Harbor Coffee

331 Elizabeth Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30307

Our hyperlocal and favorite coffee shop. Great lattes and pastries accessible from the Beltline. We often work or read here on Fridays and Saturdays, and several ideas in Erich's "Future Coffee Shop" list has been inspired by this place.

Coffee - Larakin

208 12th Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30309

Coffee stand with outdoor patio right by Piedmont Park

Activities - Atlanta History Center

130 West Paces Ferry Road Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30305

Really great museum for anyone interested in learning more about the history of Atlanta, from the Civil War to the 1996 Olympics! It also has beautiful grounds and gardens, including the fully preserved Swan House (which you might recognize from The Hunger Games)! We recommend spending at least 2 hours there.

Activities - Piedmont Park

Atlanta, GA 30309

Enjoy a nice stroll with city views by the Active Oval or take a picture at the "Midtown Reflection." There is also a farmer's market Saturday mornings called the Green Market. We recommend getting a coffee and some breakfast there. The crepes are great!

Activities - The Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail

Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail, Atlanta, GA 30312

The Beltline is a walk, run and bike path that used to be a railroad line. We recommend getting onto it at Ponce City Market, Piedmont Park, Inman Park or Krog Street Market. There are ample restaurants, bars and shops to visit

Activities - Ponce City Market

675 Ponce De Leon Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30308

Converted old Sears building along the Beltline with lots of shopping, food and drink stalls.

Activities - Georgia Aquarium

225 Baker Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30313

Located in Downtown Atlanta near Centennial Park, the Georgia Aquarium is one of the biggest in the world! Most known for its Whale Sharks, we recommend all visitors to Atlanta to visit at least once. Probably easiest to Uber/Lyft from Midtown.

Activities - Atlanta Botanical Garden

1345 Piedmont Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30309

Right next to Piedmont Park, the Atlanta Botanical Garden is a beautiful place to wander on a nice fall day. Think lush gardens, tropical greenhouses, and seasonal exhibits (like giant plant sculptures!). It's perfect for a peaceful stroll or snapping some great photos in nature.

Food - Colony Square

1197 Peachtree Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30361

Upscale food hall in the heart of Midtown. Walkable from the hotels.

Food - Ecco

40 7th Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30308

Upscale American / Italian restaurant close to the venue and Renaissance hotel.

Food - Rumi's Kitchen Colony Square

1175 Peachtree Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30361

Upscale restaurant specializing in Persian food. Very good!

Bars/Breweries - Cypress Street Pint & Plate

817 West Peachtree Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30308

Great place to grab a few drinks and watch your favorite sports teams. Located next door to the Biltmore Ballrooms, so it's a great place to go between the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour.

Bars/Breweries - Park Tavern

500 10th Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30309

Super popular bar that is one huge screened in patio with views of Piedmont Park. Great for college football watching

Bars/Breweries - Painted Pickle

279 Ottley Drive Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30324

Located right next to Sweetwater Brewery, it's a fun place to play ping pong, cornhole, and pickleball. They have good food and drinks too!

Bars/Breweries - Johnny's Hideaway

3771 Roswell Road Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30342

If you're looking to put your dancing shoes on Thursday or Friday night, this is our favorite place to go out and dance. Expect 70's and 80's music, people of all ages and strong pours.

Bars/Breweries - New Realm Brewing Co.

550 Somerset Terrace Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30306

Brewery along the Beltline! Rooftop for good view of the city.
