Flight
Airports
We recommend Reagan National (DCA) as it's the closest airport to the hotels/venue and also is convenient to the recommended public transportation (~40 minutes to the hotels). Guests can also fly into Dulles International (IAD) with public transportation options as well (~80 minutes to the hotels). Baltimore/Washingtion (BWI) airport is also an option, approximately 34 miles from the recommended hotels in Bethesda, MD. However, there is no public transportation. Please note: Expect heavy congestion during rush hour on Metro rail lines and all DC area roadways and plan accordingly.
Train
Ground Transportation
Ride shares (i.e., Uber, Lyft) are always available but public transit on the DC Metro to "Bethesda" on the Red Line (toward Shade Grove) is also an option. All hotel options are within a 5 minute walk from the Bethesda Metro stop. To get there, you will be transferring to the Red Line from either "Metro Center" or "Gallery Place", depending on which rail line you take from the airport. The DC Metro is generally very safe from either airport and Google Maps does a great job of clarifying which side of the track to be on and where to transfer. See attached map and be certain your train is going in the right direction before stepping on!
