Erich & Alissa met on Tinder of all places! Erich's profile picture was of himself at the Aviary with one of their penguins. He made sure to let Alissa know that he was in fact, not the penguin and she was hooked by that one little joke. Many more puns and dad jokes have since followed, but she's stuck around. They went on their first date to Carmella's in the South Side of Pittsburgh. They bonded quickly over video games, coffee and similarities in life. Their second date was the next day at Smallman Galley because they just couldn't wait to see each other again. After a year in a half of dating, Alissa moved in with Erich in his South Side apartment, conveniently located just a few blocks from Carmella's. They welcomed Samwise into their home in August of 2019. He was the best addition to their little family they could have possibly dreamed for. In the middle of the craziness that was 2020, Erich and Alissa were both working out of that tiny, one bedroom apartment. With the help of Alissa's MOH, Stephi, they bought a house! With much more room and exciting projects on the way, the next step was natural. 💍
