Eric and Emma met in 2011 in the halls of Bishop Stang High School. They shared a few classes together, including Spanish, where Eric sat behind Emma. Luckily for Eric, he was able to peer pressure Emma into letting him mooch off her answers (no estudiar). Although they were friendly and secretly had crushes on each other at some points over those four years, they never dated in high school and went their separate ways for college. They reconnected at a friend’s party in the summer of 2016, and the rest is history. Despite attending different colleges, Emma visited UMass so often that many of Eric’s friends thought she was a student there! Eric’s friends were so welcoming and kind to Emma, and she always felt at home when she was in Amherst with Eric. Over the years, Emma and Eric have created amazing memories together. They’ve traveled around the country, gone to Europe, and bonded over their shared love of shredding the ski slopes. In September 2022, they finally moved in together in Cambridge, MA, and have been loving every second of sharing a home, where their love continues to grow every day. On October 6, 2023, Eric and Emma went to Stratton, Vermont, for the weekend. They had plans to celebrate Emma’s birthday, but on their way to dinner, Eric brought Emma to Jamaica State Park for a walk and proposed! Eric arranged for both of their families to join them in Vermont, marking the beautiful start to their engagement. They are each lucky to be in love with their best friend and can’t wait to celebrate with you on their big day!
