We met at a middle school we were both teaching at in Nashville. Though neither of us intended to become teachers, the poor job market pushed Eric to join Teach For America. Two years later, realizing you can't do anything with an English major, Viv joined TFA and was placed at Eric's school. The rest is history! Though we never intended to be teachers, it was the best choice we've ever made. Teaching brought us together. We first bonded over crazy stories about our kids, but soon realized we had a lot more in common: culinary adventures, a love of travel, and laid-back, fun-loving senses of humor. After a year of dating in Nashville, we came to Chicago for new jobs and new adventures. We've been here ever since, and love our new home as much as we love each other.
