If you get here early and have an evening to kill, spend it at Gleam! It's light installations set up around Olbrich Botanical Gardens. We look forward to Gleam every year!
Have yourself a weekend and stay for the Badger football game on Saturday! (OH HOW I HATE OHIO STATE WHAT THE F**K IS A BUCKEYE YOUR MASCOT IS A NUT)
If you are up and at 'em enough on Saturday morning to hit the farmer's market, then we've failed you as hosts. However, this is a Madison classic that we'd be remiss not to include.
If we have an afternoon to fill, bopping on Monroe street is one of our go-tos. There's a record store, an outdoor clothing store (think REI), a kitchen store, a home goods/gift store, and few other cute shops. The address listed will bring you to Good Day Shop-that's where all good bops begin.

One of our favorite brunch spots. The earlier you get to Marigold, the better. The line moves faster than you think it will-promise. Order the breakfast potatoes!
This is where we'll be getting our wedding day lunch from-you could too! Pro tip: this place can get crazy, place your order for pick up between 3pm the day before and 9am day of to skip the line.
This bar somehow became our celebration spot. If you wanna be like us, order yourself a bar burger with American cheese. If you really want to be like us, move apartments in blazing heat, eat nothing until 2pm, then go to Mickey's and order a bar burger. It will rock your world.
Cool vibes, good food. Don't watch a Packers playoff game here if you want them to win.
10/10 sour beers if that's your thing. If not, their other beers are pretty good too. Plus, the poutine, crunchwrap supremes, and hot dogs are outstanding.
