Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park
Take in the breathtaking views of the Hudson River and historic Poughkeepsie. This is also where we had our first date! The full walk from Poughkeepsie to Highland and back is a bit over 2 miles, so bring those walking shoes.
Fishkill Farms
Rachel grew up adjacent to this historic farm, still owned and operated by the Morganthau family. Pick your own apples may be in season. Don't miss their home-made cider donuts and original line of hard ciders. Their charming farm store and spacious deck also has views of the Catskill Mountains.
DuBois Farms
Another delightful local farm, where you'll find lots of pick your own options, baked and canned goods.
Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site
