Eric was serving in the United States Navy and living in Connecticut where Rachael is from. We met online and had our first date at Chili's. When Eric completed his term of six years of service with the navy, we moved to Texas close to where Eric and his family are from. We have been enjoying our time out here in the country working on our new house, and spending time with our many animals.

Eric proposed at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Belfort, New York where Rachael's grandparents were married. Many friends and family were there and celebrated with an engagement party at the Belfort Inn.
