Eric found me on Facebook dating app and he messaged me “how do you pronounce your name?” That was the beginning of our conversation and soon after we met up at Griffin Park. I was attracted by his sexy legs and smile! Lol.
This was the date that we felt such a strong connection with each other. It was a Sunday afternoon, Eric set up a picnic date at the park. He was so romantic. We ate, talk, and laugh.
Before meeting Eric, I had been working on myself and believing in love. I started envisioning my partner, I wrote down the list I would want in a guy. I even had a song that I would listen to, to help me envision my partner. “Beginning middle end” by Leah Nobel was base on a Netflix movie. Every time I listen to it, I truly felt that my partner was near me. At the end of our third date, for some strange reason I wanted him to listen to it before he drop me off! I guess my heart somewhat knew he might be the one.
My love story didn't come as quick as I hoped, but all great things come to those who wait, right? Back then my understanding of what a loving relationship was; was all wrong. My reasons for finding love were all backwards. You attract who you are, and I needed to attract the right woman. So I went to work building a better version of myself, it wasn't easy but it was necessary. I'm grateful for the hard lessons I learned; because it made me the man I am today, and it put Noon in my path. I met Noon on Facebook, not my ideal place, but hey it was 2021, and you know what was going around. My first message to her that started it all was "its Noon like afternoon." That simple message launched me to the top of her list. Right away I knew she was different in good way. Based on her bio I knew she had moral values and principals that aligned with mine and a strong drive for achieving her goals. I knew she enjoyed outdoor adventuring, so we met officially in person at Griffith Park old La zoo trail. We trekked for hours talking and occasionally running, I had to see if she could keep up with me on the trail. That gave me a chance to check her out when she wasn't looking lol. Ever since then It's been an amazing journey with her. I'm truly blessed and thank God for sending me an amazing person, that soon I will call my wife. My journey was long but absolutely worth it. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with Noon, she's amazing. It's like we've known each other this whole time.
Three months later, Eric officially asked me to be his girlfriend. He set out a romantic weekend getaway, followed by scavenger hunt the night leading to the question “will you be my gf?” over looking the beach over the balcony.
Eric has always been a very detailed and very thoughtful guy (that’s why I fell in love with him), when planning this proposal he kept checking to make sure everything was perfect from when the tide would be at its lowest, to the time we should go take the picture for that perfect sunset photo! He told me he wanted us to take professional pictures since we didn’t have any, but that was just to plan his proposal without telling me he wanted to propose🥰 . He had ask me to make sure I wear a white flowy dress.
