We met first in 2013 at Silver Lake Camp while volunteering as junior leaders. We stayed friends for a couple years where we saw each other during the summer at camp. During our first year on staff, we started to grow closer & fast forward 3 months and turns out we really, really liked each other. So one day after the summer had ended, on the Kincardine Pier Eric was about to lean in for a kiss….when Nicole (who is not known for her patience) beat him to the punch. The rest is history. Another 10 years of school (Eric to Ottawa, Nicole to Brantford), various jobs, apartments, trips, and a ton of fun memories pass until New Year’s Eve 2024. Eric finally got one back on Nicole by completely surprising her with a ring before their dinner reservation. She could not fully believe it was real and he was able to pull one over on her until about 4 hours later and numerous calls to her family confirming he did in fact successfully plot behind her back without her noticing at all! Our engagement was surprising, private, funny…just totally us. We cannot wait to spend a lifetime together and are so excited for you all to share in our special day. xo Nicole & Eric
