Due to limited space on the boat, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding!

What should I wear?

Dress to impress! The setting is elegant but comfortable; think cocktail to formal attire.

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

No, this evening will be an adults-only celebration

Are guests expected to attend both the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We understand that a Friday wedding can be difficult with work schedules, but we truly hope you’ll join us for both. The ceremony is such a meaningful part of our day, and we would be honored to have you there as we say “I do” before celebrating together afterward.

Is there transportation from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

There will not be formal transportation provided between the ceremony, reception, or hotel. The entire evening is intentionally planned within a few blocks, making it easy and walkable for all guests! Additionally, Holy Name Cathedral provides free parking in a nearby parking garage if that would be easier to drive. Keep in mind that there is a time "crunch" between leaving Holy Name and getting to the pier.

Is there a hotel block?

Yes! Our wedding block is reserved at The Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk located at 301 E. North Water Street Chicago, IL.

I have dietary restrictions, what should I do?

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony at Holy Name Cathedral will be indoors and our reception aboard the riverboat is fully enclosed and therefore will be indoors as well. There is an option to mingle at the bow which is outdoors and of course if you choose to walk from the ceremony to the reception, that will be outdoors as well.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

Of course! While we have a professional photographer capturing our special day, we encourage guests to take photos and enjoy the moment. We simply ask that all devices remain on silent and that no flash is used.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please let us know as soon as you know so that we can make adjustments to our guest list as needed.

Why the riverboat?

Answer

We both love being on the water, and when we found a venue that combined the city skyline with a nautical experience, it felt like the perfect way to celebrate our love and start this new adventure together. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
