WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

What I thought was just a quick lunch with my sister turned out to be so much more. Eric was working a shift at Jersey Mike’s when Heaven and I walked in — she was her usual bubbly self, and I was just along for the ride. While she ordered, there was a little spark between me and the guy behind the counter. Of course, Heaven noticed and slipped my number to his coworker before we left. A few days later, Eric texted me. Our first date was Black Panther, and from there, things just kept growing. What started as a simple sandwich run turned into the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

What I thought was just a cute sunset picnic on the beach turned out to be so much more than I ever expected. We were at Melbourne Beach with takeout from our favorite spot and our favorite wine, just hanging out and watching the waves. It was perfect — just us, the ocean, and the sunset. At one point, Eric asked me to stand up so we could “take some pictures.” He set up his phone and told me to smile — I thought he’d put it on a timer for a quick photo, but he was actually recording the whole thing. We posed for maybe ten seconds, and then he goes, “Okay, I think that’s good!” I was about to walk back to our picnic blanket, totally clueless — until I turned around and saw him on one knee. That “cute beach date” turned into the best surprise ever, and saying yes was the easiest thing I’ve ever done.
