Take a day trip to Telluride! Depending on your stay in either Ridgway or Ouray, it is about a 50-60 min drive. Explore this historic mountain town and all it has to offer. Some easy fun activities are taking the gondola up, or doing a quick hike to Bridal Veil Falls.

Southwest Colorado has many hiking and biking options. Take a look at All Trails for hikes that suit your experience level. Be sure to drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen and take it easy! There are also mountain bike rentals in both Ouray and Ridgway. A popular hike in Ridgway is the Blue Lakes Trail (Lower/Middle/Upper Lakes), however is rated difficult. Still challenging, you can shorten the hike by only going to the Lower Blue Lake. Check if trail is open.

The reservoir offers water activities like boating, fishing, water skiing and swimming. Wildlife enthusiasts can spot deer, eagles, foxes and more. Hikers and bikers have 14 miles of trails to explore, and for campers the park has RV sites, electrical sites, tents-only areas and heated yurts.
