Is this a typical wedding day?
Answer
Not exactly. We’ve decided to elope July 1st and have our reception as a celebration with our loved ones! At the reception, we’ll share our joy and excitement, and you’ll get to enjoy a fun party in honor of our marriage. There won’t be a formal ceremony, but we’ll have special moments planned, like toasts, dancing, and plenty of time to mingle and celebrate together. It’ll be a laid-back, joyful celebration of our love and the start of this new chapter with all of you by our side!

Where is the reception taking place?

The reception will be held at Camp Kettlewood in East Troy, WI. It's a beautiful, open space surrounded by nature, perfect for a relaxed celebration. It will be an outdoor reception with yard games, bonfires, and fun activities for our guest! We can’t wait to celebrate with you in this special setting! What should I wear?
Answer
For our summer camp style reception, we encourage guests to embrace a relaxed yet polished look! Ladies, sundresses are perfect—feel free to go with light, airy fabrics in fun colors or floral prints. Gentlemen, a nice pair of dress shorts or lightweight trousers with a button-down shirt or polo will work great. We recommend comfortable shoes for walking on grass, and don’t forget a hat or sunglasses if you'd like to stay extra cool. Most importantly, wear what makes you feel happy and ready to celebrate!

There are free, limited glamping-style accommodations at Camp Kettlewood available for guest at a first come first serve basis, please reach out to Marissa or Eric if you are interested in staying on the property for the weekend! We would love to have you! Feel free to check out the website to see the different styles of lodging options. Can I bring my kids?

Absolutely! Our reception is kid-friendly, and we welcome little ones to join in the celebration. There will be plenty of space for them to play, and we’re excited to have children share in the fun and festivities with us! Feel free to bring your kids along and enjoy the day together.

When will we eat?
Answer
There will be two food trucks at our venue offering delicious options of BBQ and tacos from 5-7pm, allowing you to enjoy your meal at your leisure. You’re welcome to choose from the trucks and enjoy the food whenever it’s most convenient for you during the reception.
