1. What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear long cocktail or formal floor-length dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a tux.

2. Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

Yes. Our wedding is a rustic themed wedding. When looking for your attire, please look for dresses that will fit a rustic color palette ( this is especially important for ladies).

3. What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

It will be warm and somewhat humid. It's not summer yet, but May in New Orleans definitely feels like it.

4. Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be taking place in Filmore in the Oaks.

5. Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Ceremony will take place outdoors while the reception will take place indoors.

6. What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around half an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will have a cocktail hour. Finger food and beverages will be served.

7. What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

8. What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive half an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

9. Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There will be a large parking lot directly outside of the reception hall. Please feel free to park anywhere on the lot. Parking is free.

10. Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, the entire family is welcome!

11. Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

12. When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

13. Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, both locations are wheelchair accessible.

14. Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Yes, we will have appetizers and a full sit down dinner. We ask that you please let us know your preferred meal option by the time you rsvp so that we may plan accordingly.

15. Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Please contact us ahead of time if you have any special diet requirements or any allergies we should be aware of in order to accommodate you.

16. Where are you registered?

Answer

We are exclusively registered at Zola.com, please use our online registry if you'd like to give us a gift. Given that we have lived together for nearly 5 years and already own a lot of what most newlyweds ask for on their registries, we ask that you consider contributing to our newlyweds fund or honeymoon fund to make our dreamed future adventures a reality!

17. Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #E&M so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
