Mother of the Bride
Mẹ is mom in Vietnamese. She is the most hard-working person in Mai’s world. She believes that Mai bullies Eric, yet she has been told that was wrong. Mẹ cooks the best Vietnamese food in America. In fact, cooking is her way of showing love. She loves boba tea, eating rice paper, cooking and cleaning. Facts: she does not drive because she is too short! Mẹ and her husband, Alan will be flying in from New Jersey!
Father of the Groom
The richest man that we know … he has endless hope, faith, love and courage for everyone around him.
Step-father of the Bride
Sister of the Groom
Bride
I am the author of everything on this website. I can’t believe there is a day that I am the BRIDE. It was not what I wrote in my 10-year-goal during English class in high school! Yet being with a man like Eric is like having a shot of vitamin C every day. Comfort. I can only be a bride for one day yet I will be a wife for many decades to come. Getting married to my only “home” puts my soul at ease. I am safe and loved by a stinky polar bear!
Groom
Eric is from Quincy, Illinois. He values the midwestern manners very much. He enjoys talking to people…strangers included. He works 14+ hours a day for 5 days a week yet he always comes home with a big tight hug. Even on his most tired days, digging, carrying buckets in swamps and rain, he never forgets to give a kiss or say “I love you”.

Maid of Honor
Gracie and Mai have known each other since bootcamp in 2019 yet we actually became friends while being roommates in 29 Palms. Gracie is the most well rounded, sincere and loving woman, who I’m honored to call my best friend. She loves cooking for her loved ones, spending time with her two dogs (Blue and Minnie) and gardening. She is a college student at American University with an intention of being a boss lady in supply! Woohoo. Maid of Honor and her husband, Jose will be flying in from Arizona!

Phoenix aka “Minnie”, is a brilliant young lady. She’s currently going to Yonsei University in South Korea, with an intention of studying law later on. She loves boba tea and food. She enjoys designing and making clothes. Sadly, she hasn’t made anything for Kit Kat or Grizzly yet! Hopefully, soon! Sister of the Bride will be flying in from South Korea!
Bridesmaid
Mia is the sweetest teenager. Mai and Mia are potato friends. Sadly, uncle Eric is not one of the potatoes. She loves riding horsies and playing softball. Mia likes skinny fries. So does Mai. Eric, on the other hand, likes steak fries. Mia and her father, Brian will be driving from Quincy, IL!
Ring Bearer
Oh boy… Kit is Mai’s childhood dog. He is our money spender. Mai “borrowed” Phoenix’s lucky money to buy him without telling anyone. He flew here from Vietnam with Mai’s family. So far, Mai and Kit have been in Toronto, New York, New Jersey, DC, California, Arizona, Oregon and Washington! He loves belly rubs, snuggles and sleep. He had gotten into half a pound of lamb lungs - in his defense, they are his fav! Ring bearer #1 will be driven from Washington.
Ring Bearer
Dummy- handsome boy. We adopted Grizz from Seattle Humane Society in 2023. This boy loves food! In fact, everything is his food. He loves butt scratches, playing catch with Eric and chasing his girlfriend-Lucy. Favorite food: porky and everything that he sees. He talks and sleeps with four legs up like an opossum. He farts when he is ready to play (just sometimes)! Ring bearer #2 will be driven from Washington!
Bridesmaid
Anna and Mai bonded through biology labs for naming our group with something inappropriate. We share the frustration of being college students together. She was not hesitated to take our engagement photos. She loves exploring trails and nature destinations. Besides her wild souls, Anna is beyond supportive and caring as a friend. Anna and her partner, Skyler will be flying in from Washington!
