5 years ago, Kim and Eric had just graduated high school. Young adult life was just starting for the two of them. A mutual friend got them in contact with each other, but they had yet to see each other face-to-face. One night, after talking online for a few months, Eric offered to take her home from work. Oddly enough she agreed to get into a stranger’s car without even knowing what he looked like. After that night they both grew fond of each other like they’d known one another for years. Sadly, for Eric, it took a while for Kim to agree to date him. On December 8th, 2017, their story began.

Fast forward 4 years, and on their first-ever vacation together, Eric proposed on the beaches of Cancun. On December 7th after a long day of activities they both were tired. Eric had his whole proposal planned with the undercover plan of taking photos by the beach. Kim had other plans. While Eric was getting ready to go out, Kim was getting ready for an early bedtime. As if it was God-sent, the roof in the room started to leak water. After a brief call to the front desk, Eric and Kim had to leave the room while the repair was being completed. There, on the beach after a nice dinner by the shore Eric got down in one knee and asked Kim to marry him. Through thick and thin, they were there for each other. From two strangers who barely knew how each other looked like to becoming each other’s best friend in life. God works in mysterious ways. We may not know in what manner he executes his perfect plans, but we trust in his guidance and judgment.
