Stepfather of the Bride
Stepmother of the Bride
Father of the Bride
Mother of the Groom
Father of the Groom
Matron of Honor & Sister of the Bride
Most likely to out-do everyone at everything. Don't be fooled by her sweet face, this girl is a clever minx. Eric and Catie schemed together to give Kelsey the perfect proposal. Catie has been there through thick and thin for her little sister and Kelsey is happy to call Catie her BFF. Responds well to the name Cathy after a few rounds of drinks.
Best Man & College Friend
Most likely to think he's the funniest person in the room. Dayton and Eric were on opposite sides of a small town rivalry for the majority of their younger lives - not a recipe for a strong friendship. Their schools then joined in football in Eric's senior year and they both discovered that they weren't so bad. Eric spent a year at Iowa State while Dayton finished up high school, but then Dayton also enrolled at Iowa State. A few Bud Lights and Cyclone games later, and Dayton's the best man in Eric's wedding. Guess they had a little fun in college...
Bridesmaid & High School Friend
Most likely to be at brunch the next day... with all the drinks. Kelsey met Genna on a camping trip right before their freshman year of highschool. Although they both thought the other was a bitch upon meeting they quickly bonded over their love of movies and sarcasm. Genna has always been a straight shooter and true friend to Kelsey. Genna married her husband, Dan, last winter and both Kelsey and Eric were honored to be a part of their big day!
Groomsman & High School Friend
Most likely to f**k shit up. Look at this guy's smile. What a specimen. Cole has been making Eric laugh for almost two decades now. Nobody's motor runs as high as Cole's. Give the man a few vodka-red bulls, and watch out.
Bridesmaid & Sister of the Groom
Most likely to be happy and crying at the same time. Carly is Eric's younger sister and one of the most genuine and talented people you will ever meet. Carly is always down for a good time and will outdance everyone to any disney song ever made. She has traveled from Ohio multiple times this year to be a part of our festivities and we are so grateful and blessed to have her in our lives. She is probably crying just reading this.
Groomsman & Brother of the Bride
Most likely to be super chill. Dylan is Kelsey's younger brother who just started his freshman year of college and they are so happy he could take a break from partying, ahem... studying, to be a part of their big day. Dylan was blessed with all of the good genes and Eric and Kelsey have enjoyed watching him play at least three sports at a time throughout the years.
Bridesmaid & High School Friend
Most likely to capture the entire evening via snapchat. Jen and Kelsey became next-door neighbors in 7th grade, but didn't hangout until the summer before their freshman year of high school (only because their parents made them.) Jen is the sweetest, but most fierce friend a girl could ask for and will always have your back. Kelsey and Jen have had so many adventurous nights together and will have many more to come. If you listen closely you can hear her Christmas giggle from a mile away.
Groomsman & High School Friend
Most likely to have a tee time at 6a.m. the next morning. Austin Boger - the best friend, father, husband, coworker, etc that anybody can think of. A solid guy (seriously, just ask Eric's dad). Austin and Eric did basically everything together for years. Eric and Kelsey, along with several other people, are lucky to have this guy around.
Bridesmaid & High School Friend
Most likely to find the dessert table. Kelsey met Lauren in third grade and they have developed a great friendship over the years. Kelsey was so honored to stand by Lauren on her big day and their husbands have become great friends as well. Lauren and Kelsey share a lot of the same interests and can always make eachother laugh. You won't find Lauren out past midnight as she quite enjoys her beauty sleep.
Groomsman & College Friend
Most likely to fall asleep, mouth wide open, during the ceremony. "Oh Woody..." - anyone who has ever met Woody. Chris went to high school with Kelsey, and is credited with introducing Eric to her - quite the matchmaker. He lives in Denver and he loves to FaceTime. A truly fascinating individual, and a great friend to the bride and groom.
Bridesmaid & College Friend
Most likely to challenge you to shotgun a beer. Where to start...Kelsey met Emily during her short track career at MSU Mankato. Although they became roommates as mere strangers, Emily soon became Kelsey's ride or die chick and can never say no to a good party. Emily is one of the most fun and generous friends you could ask for and will gladly drop everything to be there for her friends. You'll most likely find Emily at a local bar after the reception ends to keep the party going.
Groomsman & Cousin of the Groom
Most likely to sweat through his suit jacket. Eric's cousin Casey has been tormenting Eric since birth. His tactics have not been nearly as effective ever since Eric got big enough to defend himself. Eric has learned a lot from Casey (God help him). He's the closest thing to an older brother that Eric has.
Bridesmaid & High School Friend
Most likely to ask where the after party is. Sarah has been one of Kelsey's closest friends since before they could read. They have shared many memories together through girl scouts, years of softball and themed birthday parties. Kelsey can always count on Sarah to be a good listener when needed and to nerd out with on Harry Potter and GOT. She has an adventurous personality and always knows where the best local spots are. When Sarah is not traveling or going to concerts, you can find her making her own kombucha or touring breweries.
Groomsman & College Friend
Most likely to fit his entire life into a tiny blue duffle bag. Danny is an aerospace engineer (he builds spaceships or something, idk). Eric and the rest of the Ames crew met Danny in their freshmen dorm building. They quickly learned that Danny was quite an asset to have as a classmate (whether he was enrolled in that class or not). He essentially put them on his back for 5 years and carried them to the graduation stage. They also managed to have a good time once or twice in the process.
Bridesmaid & Cousin of the Bride
Most likely to hand out fireball shots. Rachael has been like a little sister to Kelsey and they have enjoyed becoming closer as adults. Rachael is one of the sweetest and most thoughtful people you'll ever meet, but she is also a sly little fox. When she's not busy hiding smirnoff ices in Easter baskets, she enjoys going to brunch and laughing at Kelsey's jokes.
Groomsman & High School Friend
Most likely to end up in the hospital. Joey hung around Eric and his friends (3 years older) since they were little. He took a lot of crap from them, but he was their biggest fan as he watched them play basketball over the years (well, maybe behind Eric's mom). As they got older, the age gap mattered less and less. Eric can always count on Joey to drop everything and come shoot some hoops or make a weekend trip to Ten Mile.
Bridesmaid & Cousin of the Bride
Most likely to be mistaken for a model. Meredith and Kelsey were born within weeks of each other and have remained close since diapers. Although Meredith was subject to Kelsey pulling her hair as a baby she has looked past that and agreed to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. Meredith is an all around good person and an even more amazing mother. You will find her and her "mini-me" playing hide-and-seek or crafting at the reception.
Groomsman & College Friend
Most likely to go bed early so he can tailgate in Ames the next day. Karl and Eric met in the freshman dorms. Karl liked to bounce his basketball a lot in his room, and Eric's girlfriend at the time lived in the room directly below Karl. It didn't take long before Eric was volunteered to knock on Karl's door and ask him to stop bouncing the basketball. They were friends ever since.
Bridesmaid & College Friend
Most likely to drink all the whiskey. Paige and Kelsey met during their time at MSU Mankato where they became fast friends through their love of the Vampire Diaries, Harry Potter and dogs. Paige is one of the most genuine friends a girl could ask for and they've shared many laughs together throughout the years. Don't be fooled by her sweet face, Paige will most certainly be bringing her party pants to this wedding.
Groomsman & College Friend
Most likely to walk home (he lives 30 miles away). Travis and Eric also met in the freshman dorms. As mechanical engineers and roommates for 5 years, there wasn't much that they didn't do together. They even ended up working for the same company. They've bailed each other out of several sticky situations and have had each other's back for years.
Usher & Soon To Be Brother-In-Law
Most likely to be mistaken for a park ranger. Candon (also known as Ranger Gary) is Kelsey, and soon to be Eric's, brother-in-law. Look at him the wrong way and he may kick you out of the wedding as he takes his job very seriously. Candon will likely be spotted with a bucket of beers on the dance floor and singing to "Weed, Whiskey and Willie".
Usher
Most likely to sell you a camel. Matt may seem quiet, but he's witty and crafty (see Matron of Honor - very similar traits). Eric's sister found a good dude. Matt won over Carly and quickly did the same with her family, including Eric and Kelsey. He's become an essential part of family vacations and trips to Ten Mile. Maybe one day he'll officially join the family...
Usher
Most likely to request a Creed song. Tony and Eric have a bit of a "bro-mance." Their shared love for sports, alcohol, superhero movies, and boy bands has created a bond that almost certainly makes their wives jealous.
Usher
Most likely to love America. Dan is the perfect mix of excessive generosity, thoughtfulness, and hilarious vulgarity. Kelsey and Eric met Dan only a few years ago, but his ability to make them laugh and his never-ending generosity have made him a big part of their lives. Dan is an avid supporter of freedom.
