FAQs

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please kindly RSVP by May 4th so that we can have an accurate headcount.

Question

Where and when can I catch the shuttle?

Answer

The shuttles for our wedding will be picking guests up at Hotel Petaluma (205 Kentucky Street, Petaluma) and The Sheraton Hotel (745 Baywood Dr, Petaluma). Shuttles will pick up at both hotels starting at 2:45 pm. Last shuttle leaves the Sheraton at 3 pm. Last shuttle leaves Hotel Petaluma at 3:10 pm. Shuttles will also return guests to both hotels at the end of the evening.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony if we are not taking the shuttle?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4 pm. Guests are welcome to arrive beginning at 3:30pm and we ask that you arrive no later than 3:45pm.

Question

Is there parking onsite at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, there is a large parking area and parking attendants at the venue. ADA accessible parking is also available. If you decide you would like to leave your car overnight you may do so; please pick up your car by 11am the following day.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony, cocktail hour and dining will take place outdoors. Dancing will take place indoors. The average temperature during the day is in the mid-70s but it does get chilly at night. We recommend you bring a sweater or shawl. There will be varying terrain throughout the day, including cement, gravel and grass so avoiding a stilletto heel is best.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your children, but we ask that you leave them home for Saturday events so you can let your hair down and celebrate with us! However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so if you would like to bring them to the Friday night welcome reception we would be excited to see them there! And please reach out if you have questions about babysitting services.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please check your invite for your +1!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Please see our Schedule for the dress code.

Question

What activities are there to do in Petaluma?

Answer

Please check out the Things to Do section of our website for some of our favorite activities in Petaluma, from restaurants, to wineries, to hiking! If you are planning to extend your stay in the area we also highly recommend visiting nearby Healdsburg, Sonoma, or Napa to experience more of the beauty Northern California has to offer.

Question

How do you recommend getting to the Welcome Reception?

Answer

Griffo Distillery is a short drive from both Hotel Petaluma and the Sheraton Hotel. We recommend Uber or Lyft for getting to and from the party, though there is a small parking lot for those who plan to drive safely :)

Question

How do you recommend getting from the airport to Petaluma?

Answer

There are many options for getting from SFO/OAK to Petaluma. You can rent a car, uber, lyft, or take a shuttle service offered by Groome Transportation. We recommend renting a car if you plan to go on any other excursions during the wedding weekend, though it is not needed for wedding festivities. More information on the Groome shuttle can be found here: https://groometransportation.com/sonoma-county/?sd_client_id=dfe25d95-da3d-4fec-97ef-644c37e7684d&sd_client_id=dfe25d95-da3d-4fec-97ef-644c37e7684d

Question

I'm excited to extend this trip and explore wine country! What do you recommend?

Answer

If you have 1 extra day in the area, we recommend exploring Sonoma (book a wine tasting at Jacuzzi and grab dinner at Girl & the Fig to recreate our engagement weekend!). If you have 2 extra days, we recommend venturing up to Healdsburg (Flowers is a great winery up that way, and we love the Matheson for dinner in town). Napa is also not far! The opportunities are endless and you can't go wrong with whatever you plan :)

Question

I'd love to go on a little hike and move my body before the festivities! Any recommendations?

Answer

Helen Putnam Regional park in Petaluma has a lot of great walking / hiking paths close to town. If you want a bigger hike on your way from San Francisco then we recommend anything in Marin, the Dipsea Trail, Tennessee Valley...

For all the days along the way
