When Should We Book Our Hotel & Flights?

Flights: Destination Airport: Cancun International Airport (CUN) It is recommended to book flights at least six months in advance and fly into Cancun (CUN) International Airport. Lisa can assist with booking flights, hotel, and airport transfers.

What should you know about traveling to Mexico?

PASSPORTS A valid passport is required to enter Mexico. It must be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. Please double-check that the name on your passport matches your airline ticket information. Also, bring any documents provided by your travel agent. FLIGHT During your flight to Cancun, the flight attendants will provide two forms to complete: A visitor’s permit (one per person) A customs form (one per family) Be sure to have a pen, your passport, and resort information easily accessible. ENTERING MEXICO Upon arrival, you will go through immigration and customs at your point of entry into Mexico. If you have a layover in the U.S. before reaching Mexico, you will go through customs in the U.S. before continuing your journey. Once you land in Mexico: Proceed to immigration with your passport and completed customs form. Families can approach the immigration officer together. The officer will ask a few questions, stamp your passport, and return a portion of your immigration form to you. 🚨 DO NOT LOSE THIS FORM! There is a fee to replace it. We recommend keeping it with your passport and storing both securely in your resort safe during your stay. TRANSPORTATION After clearing immigration, proceed to baggage claim and go through customs again. Please note that you may be randomly selected for a luggage inspection. Once you exit customs, ignore the timeshare sellers—they are not your transportation (even if they claim to be). Instead, head straight outside and look for your transfer service by their company name or uniform. The drive to the resort takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Your transfer company will likely ask to meet with you at the resort to confirm your departure pick-up time. Be sure to reconfirm your transportation details at least one day before your departure to ensure a smooth trip back to the airport.
