We met at a show at the Music Farm in 2018 in downtown Charleston, SC. We happened to be walking towards our cars with separate groups of friends at the end of the show and I noticed this super cute curly blonde haired guy. He turned towards me and started walking in my direction with a big smile on his face. He said, "Hi, I'm Eric!". We talked the entire way back to our cars and exchanged numbers. A couple years passed, we stayed in contact and would see each other out with friends from time to time. Every conversation we had was genuine and meaningful. Every time we talked I had butterflies in my stomach. He still has my name in his phone as Katie Music Farm.

On our 5 year anniversary we stayed in a cabin outside of Asheville, NC. The weather was not the best for the weekend but we did what we do best and explored the area. One night, we went on a self-guided brewery tour in the pouring rain through downtown Asheville. He had the ring in his pocket the entire night but the moment didn't feel right. The next day, the sun was out and the weather was beautiful. We took advantage of the clear skies and picked a mountain to climb. We realized later that it was the view from our cabin the entire weekend. We hiked the Mount Pisgah trail, it is 1.5 miles one way with a 712 ft incline to the summit of Mount Pisgah with Charlie and Fiona by our sides. When we reached the top, the 360 degree view of the Blue Ridge mountains was breath taking. A couple asked if they would like for them to take our picture, and of course we said yes! As I am getting the girls together, little to my knowledge, Eric is quick to let the couple know what was about to happen. He comes back and gets down on one knee. I was confused at first....but then I realized he was proposing! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Lake Lure!
