Every great love story starts somewhere — and ours began in the most unexpected place: Facebook Dating! From the moment we matched, the conversation just clicked. Eric, being the charming and eager guy that he is, quickly suggested we move to texting. Before long, he asked me out that very night! Since it was already late and I was cozied in for the evening, we decided to meet the following night instead. Our first date was at Pints and Quarts in Lacey, WA. When I saw him walk in, I thought he looked absolutely adorable! The chemistry between us was instant and effortless. Over Mac & Jack’s and a Diet Pepsi, we talked for hours, completely lost in conversation. Before the night ended, Eric asked to see me again later that week. True to form, he couldn’t wait until the weekend—so we met midweek at The Brick on Trosper, where we shared our very first kiss. A few days later came our third date, and that’s when our story truly began. Soon after, we officially became a couple, and over the next year we shared adventures, laughter, and countless beautiful moments together. With every day that passed, we grew more certain that we had found our forever in each other. Then, in June 2024, on the Big Island of Hawaii, Eric asked me to be his wife. I had no idea he was planning to propose! During dinner at Jackie Ray’s in Hilo with our dear friends Cheri and Rich, he surprised me by getting down on one knee. The entire restaurant erupted in cheers as I tearfully said “yes!” It was the most magical, joy-filled moment. Our love story continues every day — with laughter, adventures, and the quiet comfort of knowing we’ve found something truly special.
