We met through our mutual friend and now Man of Honor, Roger, in college at Rider University. While the first time we met, Julie was in another relationship. It wasn't until months later when our group of friends were hanging out in Eric's dorm room when he took out his guitar and started playing. Julie was single at this time and became absolutely smitten, proceeding to pursue Eric for the next few months while Eric had no clue. It wasn't until winter break when Roger, Julie and Eric would video chat online through oovoo. Roger being the wingman he is, told Eric that he couldn't make it the one night, and to still meet up with Julie anyway. For the next couple of weeks, the two were talking with each other for hours until the early hours of the morning. Luckily it worked out and the rest is history!

In October 2020, we went to Cherry Springs State Park about 5 hours north of Philadelphia in Coudersport, PA for the weekend. Eric had heard wonderful things about the starry night park, as there is limited lighting within miles so the stars are more visible. Of course the one night we went, the sky was so cloudy that you couldn't even see the moon LOL. While Eric was initially annoyed and cursing at the sky while Julie was very confused, we moved to the car since it was 30 degrees outside. While waiting for the clouds to clear up, we started playing questions to pass the time. Julie eventually went to the bathroom as Eric couldn't come with a question, but by the time she came back, he had one of their favorite bands playing in the background and popped the question!
