We also welcome our guests to join us for casual welcome drinks on Friday, May 22, so everyone can meet and mingle. Please note that we cannot accommodate extra guests or plus-ones due to limited space. Flights and hotels fill up quickly, so we recommend booking your travel early for the best prices. In the rural villages of Cambodia, Jazz and Eric first crossed paths as Peace Corps volunteers, teaching English to eager students and building connections within their communities. Though they only met once during their service, a brief encounter with little conversation, they added each other on social media and went their separate ways. Their Peace Corps service ended abruptly in spring 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic led to the evacuation of all Peace Corps volunteers, sending them back to their hometowns in the United States. A year later, when Eric moved from Reno, Nevada, to Washington, D.C., Jazz, a Northern Virginia native, saw his post about relocating and decided to reach out. Both shared a passion for creating a close-knit community, and what started as casual meetups among friends quickly turned into something deeper. It wasn't long before their mutual enthusiasm for bringing people together and their openhearted nature drew them closer. Before a group camping trip, they finally admitted their feelings for one another, transforming a budding friendship into a love story. For their first official date (October 17, 2021), Jazz took Eric to a pumpkin patch. As Eric hoisted a giant pumpkin over his shoulders, Jazz surprised him with their first kiss, a small, spontaneous gesture that became a cherished memory. Flustered but smiling, Eric held the pumpkin high, knowing this was just the beginning of something special. From then on, they made it a tradition to visit a pumpkin patch every October, creating new memories with their friends. Their love grew as they met each other's families, traveled together, and built a home full of laughter, warmth, and shared adventures. In May 2023, they visited Germany to spend time with Jazz's family. Inspired by the beautiful surroundings and the joy of bringing loved ones together, they decided it was the perfect place to celebrate their wedding. Now living in Arlington, Virginia, Jazz and Eric fill their home with warmth, good food, hiking trips, and the company of good friends. Along with their beloved cat, Bean Dip, they’ve built a life rooted in shared adventures and a commitment to creating a space where everyone feels welcome. They can’t wait to begin this next chapter and celebrate their love with you!
