As some of you know, Eric and I met on a dating website called "Tinder." Eric and I matched on the day after I graduated from Fresno Pacific University. He messaged me first in complementing my recent accomplishment. I replied in a message stating I was looking for a serious relationship. He replied by stating "may I please have your number? I would like to get to know you." That is how the story of us began.
The proposal took place at our annual retreat to Shaver Lake. Eric, Brayden, his parents and I attend at least once a year. We were all trying to find the perfect place for some fun in the snow. We have done many, many sled rides down the cold hills til our bodies were half frozen. Eric drove to our favorite spot close to China Peak. By then, I was cold and in pain from my previous sled ride. Eric tapped once on my shoulder however, I wasn't paying attention. Eric tapped a second time and I turned around. Eric was on his one knee and was ready to pop the question. I was completely in shock and I was in tears. I couldn't believe the big day finally came after we've been dating for 3 and a half years. When he showed me the ring and asked the question "will you marry me?", I immediately said "yes!" The best part of this story is that Brayden (Eric's son) took a role in this proposal by picking the location himself and said "this is our engagement hill." The fact that Eric and Brayden both planned the proposal was one of the happiest moments of my life.
