We’re getting married!

We met/started talking in March 2016 on Instagram! Somehow Eric came across my profile and sent me a DM wanting to get to know me. I saw that he was a tattoo artist and at first I thought if I were to respond back to him that he wouldn’t reply. I don’t know why I thought that I wouldn’t be his type to begin with 😜. Well, we started writing back and forth and exchanged numbers and continued getting to know each other. In April we started going out on dates and it wasn’t until April 27, 2016 when we became official. We’ve enjoyed each other’s company from that day on.

We took our first big trip out of the United States in June 2019… and this has been the most memorable day for the both of us. We took a vacation and went to Mexico City! That place is so beautiful with the historical sites and is filled with so much art and culture. I would love to revisit again some day soon! On June 26, 2019 we booked a tour to see the Teotihuacan Pyramids! That morning when we were getting ready, Eric was acting weird. We were waiting at our hotel’s lobby waiting for our ride to take us to another hotel to meet our bus to take us to our tour. A few minutes before our Uber was going to arrive, Eric said he had to go back to our room. I asked him what was wrong but he had quickly left. In my head I’m thinking that he had to go to the bathroom. 🤷🏻‍♀️ He came back just in time when our Uber arrived so I didn’t think much after that. Our Uber dropped us off at our spot and waited for our bus. Once the bus arrived, we were both so excited to see the pyramids! Once we arrived, we did a lot of walking. We saw the smaller pyramids first and it’s so beautiful to experience history. During our walk, I joked around with him and said, “this is a great area here to propose”… I remember the look on his face when I made that comment… in his mind he said, “does she know?” 🤨 The last pyramid from our tour was the Sun Pyramid and all I remember is how tall it was! I kept on telling him, “There’s NO way I’m climbing that thing!” (Side note: I have an intense fear of heights). Well, Eric some how got me to climb the Pirámide del Sol, which is one of the largest pyramids at 216 feet high!!! 😬 Halfway into climbing it, I was already giving up and told him I’ll wait for him when he comes back down. 😂 He was ever so patient with me and encouraged me to keep on going and holding my hand. We eventually made it to the top and I was so proud of myself! I remember taking so many pictures of the view while at the very top of that magnificent pyramid. I was facing away from Eric and as I’m taking pictures I just feel a tap on my right shoulder and as I turn around… I see Eric on one knee and I see his lips moving and my tears start running and all I’m saying is “Yes!” A couple from our tour were able to capture this very special moment for the both of us! This day was one of the Best days of our lives!
