Eric and I's friendship began in the Fall of 2013 after Dani during my first year of college at CU Boulder. Eric was a sophomore at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs when he and his roommate, Rico, drove up to Boulder one weekend to attend a college party with one of Eric's college football teammates (a highschool classmate mine). After meeting, Eric and I realized we had several friends and places in common. We had been neighbors as children in Fort Collins and Eric's close friend Brock is my family's sponsor cadet. More importantly, we realized that we both share our faith as followers of Christ. 2017-2020 Our relationship began in 2017. Since then, we have been a constant support for each other as Eric completed his pilot training, upgrade training, and his first deployment; and as I has completed medical school. After 2 years of dating and 7 years of friendship, Eric proposed to Dani on the island of Guam. I said yes :) 2020 Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of their guests, we decided to postpone our 2020 wedding until 2021. Love is patient..... *but we are not*. On July 4th 2020, we were married in an intimate, socially-distanced ceremony at our original wedding venue. Shortly after, I relocated to North Dakota to move-in with Eric and begin our lives as a married couple. We still plan on hosting a wedding celebration for 2021, when it is safe to gather with our family and friends to celebrate our marriage. Spring 2021 Updates Eric was selected to fly B-2 for the Air Force, at Whiteman AFB and Dani has matched into a family medicine residency position nearby at Research Medical Center. They are looking forward to the next chapter of their lives in Kansas City, Missouri, and toward celebrating their marriage with friends and family in December of 2021.
