ALL MEALS Rider is an ode to Washington’s logging history and fishing industry, which is to say: it’s an ode to the ingredients pulled from the forest and plucked from the sea. Local ingredients, from sustainably caught fish to foraged mushrooms, and a wood-fired grill.
BRUNCH (and dinner) Items range from the maple braised pork belly and waffle with a fried egg on top, to the burger with bacon jam, arugula, blue cheese and brie on brioche with beautiful hand cut fries. LUNCH & DINNER Ignore the fact that this restaurant is located in a mall, it's amazing. There are other locations throughout the city, but this one is downtown. The first thing you'll see at the front of the restaurant are the xiaolongboa (steamed dumplings) being made by hand to order behind a pane glass window. They're a must order. There's always a wait, but they seat you quickly and the food comes out even faster.
DINNER We brought the whole Serpe clan here and Paul, my brother and chef, bought the kitchen a bottle of whiskey because he loved the food so much. Now that's saying something! You'll enjoy an ever-changing menu of Italian inspired small plates. Make a reservation.
