FAQs

Question

What is the dress code for wedding day events?

Answer

DRESS CODE: TROPICAL COCKTAIL Cocktail dresses or resort attire for women. Men are welcome to wear linen or short-sleeve dress shirts, pants preferred. Jackets/ties are not expected or required.

Question

What shoes should I wear to the wedding events?

Answer

All wedding day events will take place in the Central Garden. Because this is a grassy area, small or thin heels may sink into the ground and be difficult to walk in. We recommend block heels, wedges, flats, or dressy sandals for comfort and ease.

Question

How do we get to and from the resort from the Cancun airport?

Answer

If you booked your trip through our wedding travel block using our travel agent, round-trip transportation between the Cancun airport and the resort is included. Please ensure you communicate your flight information to the travel agents once booked. Transportation is provided by Amstar DMC. After you land, collect your luggage and proceed outside the terminal. Walk past the airport vendors and head to the area where the transportation desks and buses are located. Look for the Amstar desk, check in with your name, and they will direct you to your shuttle or van. Please note that these are shared (public) shuttles, so you may be traveling with other guests staying at nearby resorts. If you prefer a private/direct shuttle, this can be arranged through our travel agents. If travelling direct, the trip from the airport to the resort is about 45 minutes.

Question

Gifts & Cards

Answer

Please know that your presence means the world to us, and gifts are absolutely not expected. We are truly grateful to celebrate this experience together. For those who do wish to give a gift, we kindly ask that cash gifts not be brought to Mexico. If you would like to gift us cash, we would be grateful to receive it at another time.

Question

What dining options are available at the resort?

Answer

Dreams Playa Mujeres includes ten exceptional dining venues, featuring authentic Mexican cuisine, fresh seafood, a Brazilian steakhouse, and more. Plus, guests can enjoy nine additional restaurants at the neighboring Secrets property, along with the convenience of 24-hour room service.

Question

Is there a dress code for restaurants at the resort?

Answer

Yes. The resort enforces a dress code for all restaurants, including the buffet. Men are required to wear a shirt with sleeves, tank tops are not permitted in any restaurant. Additionally, some dinner restaurants require men to wear long pants and do not allow sleeveless shirts or flip-flops. We recommend packing at least one nicer outfit to ensure access to all dining options during your stay.

Question

What should I pack for Mexico?

Answer

Medications & essentials: We recommend packing any medications or daily essentials you may anticipate needing: Advil, Tums, allergy medication, sunscreen, bug spray, etc. These items are available at the resort but there is typically a pretty hefty upcharge. Reusable tumblers: Highly recommend! Drinks are plentiful and when you are spending all day in the sun a tumbler helps keep them cold and contained. The resort bartenders will make your drinks right in your personal cup if you wish.

Question

What NOT to pack

Answer

Beach towels: No need - towels are provided at all pools and beach areas. A beach or pool bag: Each room includes a reusable beach bag for your stay.
