Hello, my name is Tegan and I am Anneka's maid of honour! I've known Anneka for as long as I can remember! We've been bus buddies, neighbours, teammates and now work colleagues. I couldn't imagine my life without Annie and her phone calls! We have so many amazing memories together it's hard to pick just one, but I'll never forget our trip to Europe! Lots of memories were made in those weeks. A fun fact about me and Anneka is that when I get to stand beside her and watch her marry her man, it will be almost exactly a year since she was able to do the same thing for me! xo
Chris McRae

Eric and Chris (aka Little C) grew up in the little town of Moose Creek together and have been inseparable since the age of four. When Eric isn't with his bride he can usually be found hanging around with Chris. They share many fond memories together, from riding their bikes around town as kids and attending every local fair on the weekends, to doing weekend tree removal jobs and recently going on a trip to Nova Scotia. Fun Fact: Chris is single and ready to mingle.
Karlyna Girard

Hello, I am Karly, one of Anneka's first cousins. We have been joined by the hip since Anneka decided to make an entrance a couple months after me in 1996. We have been raised more like sisters our whole life. From temper tantrums (that involved the occasional curse word...) to kindergarten (that Anneka occasionally attended), into high school, we have seen it all together. We decided to switch it up a little in university and go to different schools, but of course, take the same program. We've experienced all of life's milestones at the same time, and continue to do so! The memories I share with Anneka involve so much laughter. She will never fail to make me have a great time. One of the many memories I have of Anneka and I involved her old, very loud, Honda Civic in a Macdonald's drive thru. To this day, I'm not sure what happened, but I know we drove in the drive thru to get food, laughed so hard at the window trying to order, that we drove out of the drive thru with no food, embarrassment and continued laughter. Fun fact: I probably taught Anneka her first swear word.

Eric met Connor (aka Teddy) through mutual friends during high school and the two have spent many weekends together since. Eric and Ted have shared many good times together whether it was Friday nights at the Brass Buckle, spending a weekend in their shared camper at the Highland Games, or playing softball for Teddy and the Cubs. Teddy is always down for a good time. Fun Fact: Ted is a country signing/guitar playing icon along with his favorites John Prine, Johnny Cash, and Riley Green
Kendra van de Glind

Kendra and Anneka become unofficial sista's in the summer of 2015 when her brother fell in love. This lead to many family adventures together, drinks together, and Anneka's favourite part, workouts together! Whether it was rollerblading, going for a run, walks, Kendra's spin classes, or doing outdoor workouts, one of them was sure to kick the others butt. On top of their mutual interest in staying active, they both loved their Honda civics and let's just say, one was a scarier driver than the other... we won't mention who! The girls spent lots of time touring around, shopping, and as Anneka would say, "just finding something to do or someone to visit." Anneka is and always will be a social butterfly! 3 years ago Anneka turned into "Auntie Annie" as she is called so by her two little nephews. Her love for them and their love for her is indescribable and heartwarming all in one and we can't forget about "Uncy Verv", who also stole the little guys hearts. Fun Fact: Kendra is currently brewing the flower girl to be.
Dakota van de Glind

Eric and Dakota (aka Dak) have known each other every since Anneka and Eric started dating in 2019. Some of their most memorable times were during their Mont-Tremblant family trip, sharing beers after Sunday night hockey, spending afternoons at the van de Glind cabin, and watching Wren and Crew on their ATVs. Fun Fact: When Dak isn't found with the kids he is usually found cutting wood at the van de Glind property.
Hilary Veenstra

Hilary and Anneka first met about 14 years ago at RO. It was Anneka's friendliness, kindness, genuine curiosity, and love for sports, that drew Hilary to Anneka. The two spent many summers together playing soccer, biking to each other's houses, and even testing their entrepreneurial skills by selling firewood on the side of the road. Hilary's favourite memory with Anneka is their daily weekday-morning phone calls to confirm which variation of their school uniform the other was wearing that day (its okay Anneka, my mom forgives you). Fun fact: I'm currently learning how to play drums.
Blake McDonell

Eric and Blake (aka Belack-eh) are cousins and have known each other since day one. Some of Eric and Blake's most memorable times together were spending the holidays at the Verville's cheering on Team Canada during the world juniors, sipping beers under the beer tent at the Highland Games, and spending time at their family cottage on Hog Island. Fun Fact: When Blake isn't farming, he is outdoors hunting or trying to out fish his cousin in his new boat.
Haley Verville

Hi! My name is Haley. I am Anneka's bridesmaid and soon to be sister-in-law. I met Anneka for the first time when I moved back from school and what a first impression it was! I could tell right away how happy they both were and how perfectly she fit into our family. I knew right away that she was the one for Eric. Since then I've learned what an amazing person she is, and what a great family she has. My favourite memories with Annie were made at the cottage sharing lots of laughs, and being able to see her goofy side. I also realized how patient and supportive she was during my brother's years at school. And best of all, I was able to see her and Eric's connection grow into a beautiful and loving relationship. I am beyond excited to celebrate the union between them. Fun fact: My new favourite swear word is son of a beehive ;)
Devon Villeneuve

Eric and Devon (aka Dev) both grew up getting babysat by Devon's mom in Moose Creek and have been great friends ever since. Some of their most memorable times come from playing hockey at the outdoor rink in Moose Creek, fishing and playing around in the creek down from Devon's parents place, and going on countless tours in Devon's truck. Fun Fact: Devon has contributed more than a million dollars to his household swear jar.
Katie Brown

Anneka and I met at Woodlands campground where we were both working in the summer of 2012. We bonded over shared interests while scrubbing bathrooms and weed-whacking. Ever since that fateful summer we have always kept close even though distance has kept us apart. Anneka has been there for me through all of my big life moments; university, graduation, marriage, and now the birth of my two kids. She is the best confidante, supporter, and friend someone could ask for. I am so grateful to be able to stand beside her on what will be one of her lives biggest moments. Fun Fact: I taught Anneka how to drive standard in the Cineplex parking lot. It was going great till she hit a massive chunk of snow sludge and almost took off my oil pan.
Taylor Metcalfe

Eric and Taylor (aka T-Mets) have know each other since they first started playing hockey for NGS at the age of four and have been buddies ever since. Some of Eric and Taylor's fondest memories come from having an apartment together at Bishop's University, sharing buckets at the Gait, and having Traeger smoke outs at the Metcalfe shop. Fun Fact: Taylor claims he has never gotten sick or has ever had the flu. He even claims he has never had a hangover.
