We both had a crush on each other, neither of us thought the other would ever feel the same. It took seven years for us to admit it, but man was it worth the wait. Once I learned Eric liked the same dorky stuff as me, it wasn't long until we fell in love. We got engaged following a dinner atop The John Hancock building in Chicago. Eric suggested we "take selfies with the building”. After some unattractive low-angle photos, we started to make our way back to the car. Eric paused a moment, and when I turned around, he was down on one knee. I screamed “YES!” so loud before he could even finish his proposal, thank goodness we were the only two around. Now, we can't wait to start the rest of their life's with our best friend, and our Shih Tzu, James, of course.
