Who knew that the key to my heart was fresh cherries and strawberries! Well, that's exactly what Ana posted on her Instagram story that compelled me to strike up a conversation with her about it. It had been some time since I had been back to Moldova so the eastern winds were already whispering in my ear, but when I saw those freshly picked cherries on her story I was ready to catch a flight that same day!

A couple of jokes turned into a couple of days of messaging back and forth. Before we knew it, we had messaged each other for an entire week, which turned into a couple of weeks. We felt an instant connection and stayed up around the clock texting each other, telling each other our childhood stories and reminiscing as if we had known each other for years. Dare I say it... we were falling in love.

After 8 months of texting, calling, facetiming, waiting impatiently for the other person to wake up in the morning and refusing to let each other go to sleep at night we finally stood face to face. We spent the next 5 months seeing each other in person, and cementing what we already knew: We love each other and want to be together for the rest of our lives.

On June 10th, 2021, we set out to change our lives forever. On what already seemed like the perfect day, we began our journey to becoming The Pricop's. Little did we know the challenges that were ahead, as the next year and a half proved to be the toughest period in our lives. But there was not a challenge too big, or a trial too harsh that we could not get through together. We continued to draw closer and closer and continued to rely on Jehovah and on each other.
