We first met through Tinder in 2018, as most modern love stories go nowadays! Aly was a Junior and Eric was a Senior at URI. We were just about to go back to school for our Spring semester when we first started talking. We initially bonded over our love for dogs, sports, and our families. For our first "date", we met up at Bagelz in the emporium (if you know, you know) for bagels before classes. We sat upstairs and talked for what seemed like hours- there was never an awkward moment, we just got each other from Day 1. We were both very reluctant to leave and go to class, after a few minutes of saying goodbye we were already texting each other to figure out when we could see each other again. This led to dinners at Mews, take out pizzas at Bressler Hall (where Eric was an RA), and many drives along the Narragansett Sea Wall. By that summer we were pretty much inseparable. In September of 2018, we decided to start living together. Looking back, that seems pretty quick. But when you know, you know, right? I think we knew from the beginning that this was something really special. Since 2018, together we've traveled the world, bought a house, survived a pandemic, and adopted 3 dogs and 2 rabbits- we love our little family. Eric got down on one knee and proposed while we were on a trip in London in April 2023 and Aly of course, said yes. Now here we are! We're so excited to be celebrating our day with you all.
