It was a blind date. We had never met until that day. There were a few texts exchanged before Eric asked me to go on a date. He arrived at the house with flowers, a huge smile on his face, and a sigh a relief that he finally found the right house. Our first date was at the Buckeye Dairy Bar where we played a round of putt-putt and then grabbed a bite to eat. We barely ate our food because we were so nervous. We talked and laughed the whole time. It was an amazing first date!
I had no idea that he was going to ask that night. I thought we were going to dinner for date night, but Eric had more planned. He arrived early, so of course I wasn’t ready yet. So I hurried up and we rushed out the door. Eric said, “Wait I forgot something in the house,” so I turned around to let him back in. But I turned around to find him on his knee. I couldn’t believe it! He said “This is the first place I met you, and this is the place I want to ask you to be my wife.” I think I said something like “Oh my gosh, are you serious?” And then of course, I SAID YES!!! It couldn’t have been better. But he wasn’t finished yet. Eric had a table with candles set up by a pond, it was super romantic. He had picked up dinner from the Ribber beforehand. Again, I had no idea. The whole night was perfect! I was on cloud nine. It was simply magical and better than I could’ve ever imagined.
